Let's say you need a script to be written or edited for TV -in this case, (and depending on what type of script you need), I could send you sample scripts that I have written (for documentaries, news packages, news reports, studio newsrooms, creative projects, shooting scripts, etc).

I could also give you more information about related work that I have done e.g. for BBC Current Affairs, BBC Drama, OR Media, The Edge Picture Company, etc. Likewise, I could discuss my TV Journalism MA and relevant training -for example I studied research methods during the MA. (This would be relevant if you wanted me to research, and then write, the script -as well as find interviewees, etc).

The more detail you give me about your project, the more relevant my response will be -for example, if the script you required was for a TV Drama (or for the theatre), then I would instead tell you about the playwrights that I've studied -for example during my Acting MA and Oxford English MA. I would also send you a sample of my creative writing.

Let's say that you also mentioned that the script, or play, was an Elizabethan period drama and you wanted me to research plays written at the time (by Shakespeare, Marlowe, Jonson, Kyd, etc). In this case it would also be relevant for you to know that, during my English MA, I studied the English Language from Anglo-Saxon times through to the modern day. Consequently I am familiar with how the English Language has evolved throughout the ages (so I wouldn't struggle to understand older texts).

Likewise I would mention that I studied Shakespeare in depth during my Oxford English MA (and wrote a dissertation about Shakespeare’s works). I also studied Shakespeare during my Acting MA and spent 6 weeks training and performing at Shakespeare’s Globe, London. Similarly, I also performed Shakespeare in other venues and so analysed it with a range of directors. In addition, I have taught Shakespeare to numerous academic students and actors (e.g. for LAMDA exams and professional productions). Lastly, I would mention that I have also studied various other playwrights from the period (e.g. I performed the lead role in one of Ben Jonson's plays).
